ABOUT INDEPENDENCE ARK FARM

Amidst the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic with food & supply shortages and never-ending lockdown we decided to set a new course for the best interest of our growing family and future generations. Becoming more self-sufficient by building an ark of safety was the answer. Blessed to have our offer accepted on a 35-acre homestead in Independence County Arkansas, we went right to work building fences, planters, and barns to fill with livestock. Independence Ark Farm was born — you can say the rest is unwritten history.

We have since turned our original property into a vacation rental where you can stay and enjoy the peace and tranquility of ranch living. Come say hello to Bonnie, our horse, and meet the cows! Book your stay on Airbnb here — we'd love for you to come and stay.

In 2025 we expanded to a new ranch with more property and pastureland for our growing herd in Mount Pleasant, AR. We now have a warehouse for packing and distribution as well as industrial freezers to keep everything cold and fresh. Our cattle operation now includes goats and pasture-raised hogs, all available for purchase alongside our grass-fed beef.

Our farm-to-table distribution channel is designed to serve our family, friends, and community directly. We believe it is important to practice food source diversity and ease the demand on our current food supply chain that relies so heavily on mega-grocers.We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our family-owned direct-to-consumer beef operation.

As always, we hold fast to our roots and the inspiration that started this ranch. We understand even more clearly that not only does our supply chain need to be strengthened by independent agricultural producers, but our health and wellness are also at stake if we continue to rely on mega food producers that may cut corners and use toxic materials in our food.I encourage you to help build food resilience by supporting local food systems, such as ours.

Sincerely, The Babac Family
